The Institute for Women in Politics will offer a new take on our annual business meeting. We will highlight our achievements from the year, and yes, we'll talk about where we're going; we'll have a hands on demonstration of our new website! We'll get a little business done by voting in new directors, too, but we'll also create a party atmosphere and give out lots of kudos to our highest-achieving members. We'll bring back Volunteer of the Year and add a Best Participation Award and Leadership Certification and a few surprises. We also will introduce our new Fannie Salmons Award for a woman achieving outstanding performance in ''Firsts'', named after Ms. Salmons, the first female county commissioner of Escambia County.
