Name: "How to Poison a Planet" Documentary Film Screening
Date: April 22, 2025
Time: 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM CDT
Event Description:
This Earth Day, please join us for a free film screening of the award-winning documentary How to Poison a Planet at the beautiful Pensacola Little Theatre in downtown Pensacola. The groundbreaking film debuts previously unseen sworn testimony from 3M scientists and employees discussing what the company knew--for decades--about PFAS danger. Due to PFAS chemicals’ inability to break down naturally, these man-made ‘forever chemicals’ now contaminate the waterways, farmland, and communities around the world, including the drinking water of 200 million Americans. Levin Papantonio environmental lawyer Ned McWilliams is heavily featured throughout the film as he deposes witnesses to reveal the chilling origins of what has become a global contamination. A live Q&A with Ned McWilliams will follow the film. WHEN: Earth Day, Tuesday, April 22. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. The movie will start promptly at 6 p.m. WHERE: Pensacola Little Theatre - 400 South Jefferson St., Pensacola, Florida. Public parking is available throughout adjacent downtown lots. Please be sure to RSVP using this link, as seating is limited: https://kinema.com/events/HOW-TO-POISON-A-PLANET-6iqvud For more information, see the recent article that Levin Papantonio published about this documentary and the history of PFAS. A special thank you to our two co-sponsors: Pensacola Cinema Art and Earth Ethics.
