Habitat Community Academy

Beginning this month, Pensacola Habitat will be hosting a monthly event with the underlying intent of building community. On the last Tuesday of every month we will hold the Habitat Community Academy, designed as an opportunity to gather our volunteers, home owners, board members, anyone interested in community and personal enrichment to come for an evening of learning more about Habitat and our shared community. Every Academy will include a variety of ‘classes' offering everything from construction leader training to household budgeting to leadership development to home maintenance to Global Village information meetings to repurposing cast off items from the ReStore to, well there are too many topics to list. Every monthly session begins at 5:30 with a gathering time including light refreshments, hosted by a sponsor of the month. At 6:00 the participants will select the evening's ‘class' they find the most interesting from an anticipated six different offerings, changing each month. All ‘classes' will run about an hour, we expect everything to be wrapped up not much after 7 o'clock. There is no cost to attend this event.
